We're a small studio of terrarium hobbyists who kept doing the same substrate math on scrap paper before every build. ClaryRary 2 started as our own cheat sheet — a way to stop eyeballing LECA depth and start measuring it, jar after jar.
Our mission is simple: take the guesswork out of maintaining a sealed, self-sustaining world. A closed jar is a living system with its own physics — drainage ratios, gas exchange, moisture cycles — and it deserves tools built specifically for that scale.

Your jar's data stays in your jar
ClaryRary 2: Terrarium & Moss Studio was built to run entirely on your device. There are no accounts to create, no servers to sync with, and no hidden analytics riding along with your substrate calculations. This policy explains, in plain terms, exactly what that means.
01 Information We Collect
We collect nothing. ClaryRary 2 does not ask for your name, email, location, photos beyond what you choose to store locally, or any other personal identifier. There is no sign-up flow and no hidden telemetry pinging home in the background.
02 How We Use Information
Because nothing is collected, nothing is used, analyzed, profiled, or sold. Your substrate ratios, moss care logs, condensation notes, and time-lapse photos exist for your reference only — we never see them, and we have no mechanism to.
03 Data Storage
All app data — calculator presets, jar dimensions, species notes, maintenance history, and gallery images — is stored locally on your device's storage. There is no cloud backend, no remote database, and no account-based sync layer to speak of.
04 Third-Party Services
ClaryRary 2 does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or behavioral trackers. The app functions fully offline, and no network requests are made to share your activity with outside services.
05 Data Security
Since your information never leaves your device, it is protected by the same security model as the rest of your phone or tablet — no transmission means no interception risk. We recommend standard device-level protections such as a passcode or biometric lock for extra peace of mind.
06 Children's Privacy
ClaryRary 2 does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app gathers no data from any user, it is inherently compliant with COPPA's core protections — there is simply nothing to gather, store, or expose.
07 Your Control
You are always in full control of your data. There is no account to manage because there is no account. If you wish to remove all app data, simply delete ClaryRary 2 from your device — every layer preset, moss log, and photo goes with it.
08 Changes to This Policy
If our approach to privacy ever changes, we will update this policy and revise the Effective Date above. Given our offline-first design, we expect such changes to be rare — our commitment to collecting nothing is core to how ClaryRary 2 is built.
